🎉 BIG NEWS! 🎉 There are 5 Sunrisers running to be Assembly District delegates in the East Bay!
Having our people run for office is part of what our “political power” strategy entails -- if the establishment Dems won’t represent us, then we're going to take over the party and turn it into one that actually fights for our communities and the Green New Deal.
Step 1️⃣: Make sure our entire hub (and all our friends) are registered to vote in the California Democratic Party Assembly District Delegate elections. The deadline to register to vote is January 11, so we have only a few short days to do a big GOTV push!
It’s going to take a huge hub-wide effort to get our Sunrisers elected. We only have one week to get everyone registered, and we need your help! If you have even a few hours to help between now and then, let us know!
We are holding a hype call this Wednesday at 7:30pm with our 5 Sunrise candidates (me, @Maria (she/her), @alanmarling, @Richard Raya (He/Him/His), and @Joe Genolio) to share what this means and how the hub can get involved. JOIN US!
