Happy election season y'all.  And by happy I mean super spooky scary.  Thanks for messaging about postcards earlier this month Stacey......have folks been writing postcards or otherwise donating time, energy, or other as we enter the final week?

I went out canvassing for the extremely tight race for an open congressional seat in RI yesterday, and have been throwing whatever $$ I can at various of the close senate races on a rolling, personal-fear-management sort of basis.  I also made my parents dinner while they were writing letters to Nevada, um, which I am counting.  It all counts right now!  Let's get out the vote........!

Sending hugs to all of you <333

I'd love to write some postcards before the midterms! I can take yours off your hands, Cecilia, or happy to team up with anyone and have a postcard-writing hangout some evening before too long :)

I have a lot of voter postcards that I'm not gonna be able to work through for a while. I'm happy to donate them to anyone who wants to use them! Plus stamps!

Hi Chrysalis Giving (+ Anna, + Ben),

I hope you're all doing well!
Some of you helped write get-out-the-vote postcards for the 2020 election—and for Georgia specifically—and may have already gotten this email from 30friends.

I wanted to share this opportunity more broadly as we're getting close to the midterms. If you have some bandwidth to write postcards to voters, they're a fairly chill get-out-the-vote activity and can make a big difference in crucial districts!

Including the email from F.E. below—please feel free to contact her directly if you'd like to help:
F.E. Young

She can get you the script/addresses/details—and I of course would love to know if you sign up :) I'm in for 50 postcards to start, hoping to get to 100!

Thanks,
Stacey
P.S. I'm also hoping to motivate myself into more get-out-the-vote efforts, like maybe some phone banking? I don't know if I can get to the level of door canvassing like in 2020. If you're potentially interested, let me know—always easier with friends!

From F.E.:

The Midterms are upon us and it's time to get out the vote.
A.K.A. Time to write some postcards!!

We're starting with the Senate race in Wisconsin supporting Mandela Barnes who is running against Ron Johnson (a real piece of work!).  We're starting there because their mail-in-ballots have already gone to the voters.

We'll also be working in California.  1. Because so many of us live here and 2. Because California is soooooo important to holding our Democratic majority in the House.  We'll be starting with Josh Harder who is running in a newly redistricted District 9 against Tom Patti (Mike Tyson's boxing coach).

You can choose where you want to start...either or both.

If you want an information sheet on either of these races, just let me know and I'll send you an information sheet along with the addresses and script...it might be helpful if you want to add your own thoughts to the regular script.

Just let me know how many cards you want and I'll get them to you.

I'm really looking forward to working with you guys again!!
Much love,
F.E.
