Happy Thanksgiving folks! Wanted to share opportunities from Dan to help in Georgia. One can volunteer on the ground in Georgia, or help cut turf for canvassers remotely (I just signed up for this!)

Hello friends!
Writing to you from Atlanta, Georgia. I arrived here a couple days ago to work with SURJ on the ground and am already delighted by the southern hospitality and different types of pork I never knew existed!
If you would like to help with on the ground field operations here in Georgia (meaning, door knocking and canvassing), there are a couple ways you can do so and you don't even need to be here! Fill out this form if interested! https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScJTXENtIejsQrX6Nlp0s92m80yYoJThWx5TW02cEJy7riKGA/viewform
1) First and foremost, you can come to knock doors! We're in a pandemic (have you heard?) and we have very strict Covid protocols to make sure we don't act as plague rats ferrying Covid to and fro across the country. That said, face-to-face conversations are the most effective way to campaign, period. Happy to talk with you about what this work may look like.
2) If you want to help from afar, we need turf cutters! Turf cutting is a nice, detail oriented, somewhat mindless task you can do while listening to a podcast. You'd be digitally parceling out land for canvassers to walk, can do it on your schedule, and would be ENORMOUSLY helpful to the ground game here. If you're interested, please say so in this form! https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScJTXENtIejsQrX6Nlp0s92m80yYoJThWx5TW02cEJy7riKGA/viewform
That's it for now. Excited to get going on this work together!
Love,
Dan
