[chrysalis.activism] Fwd: Practicing Anti-Racism in Intentional Communities

This is a workshop put on by the Foundation for Intentional Community. I
watched some of the recording of their previous workshop on the same topic,
and it seemed well-done, so I'm gonna check this out. Please join if it
strikes your fancy! I think it's an important topic for us given that we
care deeply about intentional community and cooperative living as an idea,
and at the same time primarily find ourselves within a wider co-op
community with very few POC.

Feel free to join! Donation-based.

Context: FIC is a national nonprofit that maintains a community of
intentional communities around the world, and offers books/resources for
starting and running intentional communities. They seem to be loosely
affiliated with Dancing Rabbit Ecovillage, if you've heard of that.

Subject: Practicing Anti-Racism in Intentional Communities

Hi friends,

I'm happy to share that FIC is offering another workshop in our series
focused on diversity, white supremacy culture, and anti-racism in
intentional communities.

*You are invited to join us on Tuesday, August 11 at 4-6pm Eastern / 1-3pm
Pacific for even deeper exploration and practical guidance on Practicing
Anti-Racism in Intentional Communities. *

****Sign-up to join (and/or to receive the recording):*

Sky Blue (former FIC Director) and Avi Kurley (from Mount Madonna Center)
will host the session and are collecting examples of how intentional
communities are fostering diversity and addressing racism. If you have a
story to share, please fill in this short form
so we can share with the wider movement.

Hope to see you on Tuesday!
Warm greetings,
