s1, the senate version of the "for the people" act, is heading to a vote on the senate floor next week. this is definitely going to be an uphill battle -- republicans have vowed to oppose this bill with everything they've got -- but i also believe that if we don't pass this bill, democrats will be locked out of power in DC for a decade or more thanks to partisan redistricting, restrictive voter legislation, pressure on election officials, and straight-up overturning of elections by republican state legislations.
stacey abram's fair fight is recommending calling every day this week. our senator's unconditional support -- esp from feinstein -- is not guaranteed, so your voice makes an unusually big difference here for a california resident (which i'm assuming you are).
