Many people on this list are probably in California, and, beyond the recall (fingers crossed!), there are many ways to be involved in local politics.
A particularly pressing issue right now is the investor-owned-utilities' push in California to create a new Net Metering standard that dis-incentivizes installing solar panels. More information here: https://www.savecaliforniasolar.org/faqs
I'm planning to go to this event on Thursday, and beyond that I'm already calling Governor Newsom, the CPUC, and my representatives in the state assembly and senate. Make your voice heard!

Save CA Solar - Bay Area Campaign Kickoff Meeting
The 3 big utilities including PG&E are lobbying to make it too expensive for people to get solar panels on their homes. This is very harmful for California and all of its residents. We should be working to help millions of people get solar, whether they rent or own their home, so people can cut their energy bills, avoid blackouts, and clean up the air. This January, the state will decide whether or not to cave to utility lobbying.
To fight back against the utilities and harness the power of the sun for everyone, we’re launching an exciting grassroots movement campaign right here in Berkeley where we’ll be holding Days of Action, organizing media events, building a local coalition, gathering petitions and more to protect solar energy. But to make it happen, we need a lot of people involved. Join us for our fall kickoff meeting!
